Floral Bullseye

I finished sewing on the yoyo centers onto the Floral Bullseye last night. I wanted to wash this quilt before giving so that the flowers would start to rag.
Completed quilt before wash.
Completed quilt after wash.
One flower before wash.
Same flower after wash.

I normally don't wash a quilt before it is gifted but this one turned out so snugly and cozy and wonderfully crinkly...I just might change my mind and wash before giving! The edges are just starting to rag but after a few more washings, it will be nice and fuzzy.

I think this is the first time I've seen a floral bullseye...it looks like a fun piece to do.

What a fun quilt! The yo-yo's are a wonderful addition and really help to emphasize that these are posey's plus take care of any pouchy at the centers. The free motion was all that this quilt needed to make it come to life--along with the washing.

When I first read your note I was making a few of these of my own---the measuring spoons for my kitchen stuff. Those are done but still have to prep 6 of the 8 handles.

I love the black and white combination. On the washing before gifting a quilt--I always wash the quilt before giving it away. This way if there are going to be any issues with the quilt, they happen while the quilt is still in my possession. I can also tell the recipient that the quilt is machine washable as I have just done that once.
