Saturday Update

I trimmed the t-shirts to size tonight. I decided to leave 1 inch beyond the motif to give it an extra little border. I figured I could always trim again if I wanted! :) One pile is the t-shirt fronts and the other pile is the t-shirt backs. Over the holidays there was some discussion as to which fabric to use, so once I touch base with Uncle Mi then I can continue with this project. A call to his house let me know he was *up north* and I had a wonderful chat with my SIL!

What do I spy here?! More hst's! Can you believe it?!

This is the beginning of my FAB Challenge #2 which is due February 1st at my partner's home. I do believe that I am the last to start. I, also, was last to start the Wacky FAB Challenge #1. This time the theme is 'Summer in Winter' using 18 inches of the challenge fabric. So far, I've used 2.5 inches. Only 15.5 inches to go. :)

This fabric was distributed in September 2008 and here I am, just starting my Challenge gift 4 months later!

According to my timetable, you are right on schedule, Pat! I've seen a couple of those t-shirt quilts, and they're fun. You are making good progress. Thanks for visiting my blog!

I'm with Pam--what color is on the other side of that triangle? Well, we will know soon enough, I guess. You are already trying one of your challenge things with those anyway, right? I love triangles on a roll or thangles myself but you are doing them traditional way!

Nice of Mike to give you a break from the t-shirts. I do the same thing and leave about an inch, 1 1/2 around the designs---sometimes they get a tad more off if I am trying to narrow it down to a more uniform size for the row. When I start working in EQ it makes it easier for a block NOT to finish at something.5 for the math part of the deal.
