Saturday Catch Up

Friday morning I met a fellow blogger, Karen who only lives about 20 minutes from me! What fun! We met at the Starbucks for a latte and slice of fat free coffee cake and wonderful conversation. Karen is the second online friend I have meet in person, and it is so cool to put a face to a name! She brought a beautiful hunter star that she is currently quilting and a blue/tan top in progress for her son. Both are absolutely wonderful! I, unfortunately, had no show and tell as I have not finished anything in the longest time. Boy, talk about motivation! I want to finish some things so I can share with Karen over our next latte. Check out Karen's blog here.

I've been working on and off piecing the Quilt Club Mystery blocks. Here are 39 of the purple/orange combination I choose. The directions said that I should have 24-40 blocks. Cool~right in the target range, took the picture and put the blocks away.

What did I find on the other side of the cutting table?! 18 more blocks! Now I have 57 blocks...can hardly wait to *see* the finished arrangement! Looks like I might just end up with a quilt to keep and one to give! 'a two-fer, as they say in the business!'

Hah--my husband things a "two-fer" is when he lets his hair getting REALLY long, then gets a haircut REALLY short!
And if you're going to find quilt blocks, can you come find some I haven't seen for a while?? I am curious about what they will turn out to be!

Hi Pat,

I *love* your batik-ish blocks!

It was very fun to meet a local quilt blogger!
