Design Wall Monday

I'm playing with the 4 Patch Posie by HD Designs pattern. I used a whole yard of the thrift store Rio Bears (at the bargain basement price of 50 cents, too!) I found while on vacation. Unfortunately, the repeat was only a little over 8 inches so I used the whole yard to make all 18 blocks. I think I could have gotten 2 more blocks if I hadn't mis-cut the first set! Oh well~live and learn! and for only 50 cents!
It should finish to about 36 x 36~a perfect size for the local hospital neo-natal unit.
The before picture.
Thanks to Linda and Norma who were cutting and sewing a 4 Patch Posie for Pam while at retreat so I could *see* first hand the *methodology*! :)Posted by Picasa

How wonderful, Pat! You got a chance to try the 4 Patch Posie pattern! I love your little quilt. I can see that there will be more 4PP in your future! LOL

Oh man, I knew Ms. Norma would give you kudo's for jumping on the 4PP wagon! whoo hoo! fun to do this in a kid print. Mine?....still at the stage you last saw it. Baseball is almost over so I will be getting into MCM more and my 4PP is near the top of my 'to-do' list.

Now those turned out really cute, Pat! Not too much to loose with such a bargain on the fabric. The sashing and cornerstone choices work well with the bear blocks too.

Wasn't it so fun to see how each block would turn out? Really pretty colors! I started a 4PP long time ago, it lives in the ufo pile now!
