Stash Report Week #44 & #45

In all the excitement of the new computer, I neglected to account for the stash last week. The previous week was a good one, with no fabric added and I finished a Jiffy Tote for DD. No pictures yet as the resident computer guru is organizing the new hard drive. :) This past week I decided to change the patterns for two of the nephew quilts which meant adding more fabric. I did finish one niece quilt which will help the totals.

My report:

Fabric added: +10 yards
Fabric added year to date: +234.5 yards

Fabric used: -10.5 yards
Fabric used year to date: -284.5 yards

Net fabric for the year: -50 yards (used)

What I accomplished last two weeks:
  • made Jiffy Tote
  • pieced, quilted and bound Niece quilt
  • pieced Nephew quilt to a flimsy

Goals for next week:

  • quilt and bind Nephew quilt
  • start on another Nephew quilt

I was aiming for 100 yards of stash used~I'm half way there with only a few weeks to go. Better get sewing (and stop adding fabric) if I hope to get to my goal. :)

You are doing good at 50 yards busted.....

I can relate to new computer problems. I am also working on cleaning out the old hard drive and deleting a lot of files I don't need anymore... sorta like stashbusting!

I bet you can make a pretty good dent in it with the sewing you have planned for these last waning weeks of 09.

Once the resident computer guy is done I know you will have some pics to show and in the meantime you'll keep busy, I'm sure.

I'd be happy with 50 yards busted but I know you can get more. I know I'll finish with a negative used, but that's alright. There's always next year.

50 yards busted is GREAT! Unfortunately, I was in your area yesterday, at BF, and added to my stash...oh well...sometimes you just gotta have that *perfect* fabric :)

think of it as "we're too busy to buy any fabric and sew like crazy!" Today in between the rest of my hectic life, I cut and sewed all the blocks for a large patriotic quilt. My design wall is in layers-many layers. And I have two design walls! It's getting hard to stick the pins in!
