West Suburban Quilt Show 2010

On Friday I took the day off (from the house!) and went to The West Suburban Quilt Guild Show. The guild had over 300 member quilts on display. While this is not a judged show, the quilts were stunning and inspirational. The only prize given will be Viewer's Choice at the end of the show.

First:

This is what I came home with...the Fire Escape Pattern from Terry Atkinson~I just love her patterns! and a felted coffee cup pincushion. I did attend a lecture on Nellie's Birds that was really interesting to me. When seen in person~it looks so easy to create and very cute, too!

Second:

The eye candy...sorry I didn't get names to credit each quilt maker. This is only a sampling of the quilts and I tend to be drawn to patterns that I feel will work with the r/w/b color scheme of Quilts of Valor. :)

It was a great quilt show, wasn't it? I stayed for the evening lecture by Rachel Wetzler. She is a real inspiration. Her trunk show was awesome! It looks like you had a fun week.

What fun, Pat! Cute pincushion and I know Norma and I were drooling over that pattern not long ago, LOL.

I am looking forward to seeing what fabrics you use in Fire Escape. I love Terry's patterns too!

I've been wanting to get Fire Escape for a while. What colors are you going to use?

Hope you had fun on your little "getaway".
