Design Wall Monday

I thought I would try a 2 fabric Bento Box as it was pointed out that I just seem to make scrappy quilts, a.lot.!

Traditional set of Bento Boxes.

'Ring' set of Bento Boxes. Since I liked this quilt so much. :)

Which set do you like? I already *know* which one I like!

I like the original bento box (first pic) best.
I do like the second pic a lot too, but with only using two fabrics it has a different effect to the link pic.
I really like the pic in the link, but it looks quite tricky to get the backgrounds out of different fabrics for the vibrancy to work.
Me, I'd be totally unable to choose, they're all yummy in different ways!

I like em both but think I prefer the 'positive/negative' effect of the first one (I guess that's what you'd call it? LOL).

I also like the 1st one better. Maybe you can shake it up and change the direction of the blocks. Just a thought - not sure how that would look.

I like them both...how about the first layout in the centre of the quilt and the second photo blocks as a border???

For the two fabric one I sorta like the traditional way better but it is not MY quilt, LOL.

And what's wrong with scrappy or controlled scrappy? If you can use more prints in the same color zones, it makes a quilt way more interesting in the long run, IMHO.

Spoken from the person who hasn't sewn anything but binding in weeks, you note?
