The day dawned foggy here but burned off by 10:00 am, leaving a beautiful sunny day!

I baked banana bread for the Car Wash Bake Sale Fundraiser on Sunday. DD, DH and a few of her classmates are going to Washington DC on June 11th, so they are trying to raise some money to help off set the costs.I also spent a fair amount of time trying to finalize the tour for this wonderful House. Thanks to Senator Herb Kohl and his office staff for making this tour happen! Knock on wood, that the White House doesn't cancel them out at the last minute!
Finally, the only sewing I did today was *sewing the safety net* onto the frame of DD's birthday gift that arrived today~a day late :)
Thanks to DS and his GF for assembling the trampoline! :)

Cool present for DD. Happy Bday to your young lady. You must have survived the sleep-over?
How fun that they get to take a trip to DC! I went during my senior year in high school. Someone from the house of representatives had our picture taken with him on the capitol steps.
What a great field trip! I've never been to DC myself, not yet, but DD went during her junior year with a young leadership group. She got to meet our representative at the time (NM) Steve Schiff, who sponsored her that summer as a Page in Congress. It was something she's never forgotten!
