Two Weeks Ago...

...I left the sewing room for my Christmas Holiday looking like this

and this.

Today I spent a little time straightening, putting away scraps, cutting down novelties and cleaning a bit.

Now it looks like this

and this.

Underneath the top pile on the cutting table, I found green and white hst's. Cut-offs from another long forgotten project. :)

So I ironed them open but will save the trimming and joining for another day when the *spirit* moves me.

I really haven't felt like sewing this past week but maybe, with a new *to sew* list and the sewing portion of the crafting room clean, I will feel like sewing again. One can hope, right?! :)

Take a little break, Pat--it's okay! Actually the zest for sewing/quilting will return if you give yourself a chance to miss it.

Can you tell that statement is from actual experience? When I find myself in a bit of a slump, I usually embroider more. Still creative but handwork.

Straightening up your work area helps! When you spend half your time looking for something that is buried in all that pile, where is the fun in that! Sounds like you have the makings of a few more quilts cut and ready to roll when you are. More jewel quilts?

can you sew when it's messy? I can't sew very well when it's too neat! But luckily I have no problem making it messy.
