The Donation Flimsy

Well, I finished the cornerstone border on this donation quilt. I searched for more of the focus fabric~to make my life easier but alas, after visiting two JAF's I wasn't able to find more.  :(

So I added an inner blue border and tried to be creative with the leftover fabric.

I have it loaded up and ready to quilt but I am a little scared as it doesn't lie flat.  Wish me luck!  thank you....

Good luck on getting your donation quilt finished. Sometimes the quilting helps it lie flatter. Love the colors, and your border treatment did a nice job of using up what you had.

I think the borders are great, and I'm sure the quilt will behave once it's on the frame.

Good way to stretch the available fabric, Pat! I hope the quilt isn't too friendly when you are done with it. That would be the kind that Norma does piano keys in the outside border I think??? You definitely know more about it than me though!
