Design Wall Monday

I found this Debbie Mumm Noah's Ark print at the local St. Vincent DePaul.  Almost 1/2 yard for 50 cents!  That's right~50 cents!  what a bargain.  :)

I paired it with some of my animal novelty fabrics that I framed out to make 8 1/2 inch blocks.  I'm thinking this is done~ I have a friend and a niece who are expecting.  The friend's baby is due in August and my niece is due in September.

Now the question has been asked:  is this quilt too religious for someone who I don't know *how* religious they are?

I'm thinking everyone likes Noah's Ark regardless of their religious or non-religious affiliation...

What an adorable baby quilt. I think whoever receives this quilt will love it! What a bargain.

The ark fabric ties in with the animal theme. I think pretty much everyone knows the story of the ark and if a person is not religious will just think of the animals two by two, not the theological significance of it.

Noah's Ark is part of the "fabric" of our culture. I think the Debbie Mumm print will work just fine!

That is cute. I made a quilt with that same fabric 17 years ago.

My sister's grandchild was named Noah by parents who are not religious but they decorated the baby's room with an animal theme and were thrilled with the ark themed quilt I made the new baby. I think you have nothing to worry about.

it is old testament so I'm thinking you are right. Besides it is a clever idea, pairing the ark print with the various animal novelties. Well done, Pat!
