Whoop! Whoop! 8.23.2014

Whew!

Put the finishes touches on this beauty last night!

So Happy it is done!

Two's Company is a pattern I wanted to try and I wanted to use this yardage of basketballs. I only have a few 6.5 inch squares and various scraps left - whoo! hoo!  Slowly but surely I am working through the *why did I buy this* yardage…  :) I'm thinking about making a winter quilt queen size from this pattern. Although this throw finishes at almost 60 x 80, really generous and almost twin size. The blocks finish at 9 x 13 so plenty of room to show off the novelty fabric!

This is my August finish for the *A Lovely Year of Finishes* over at Fiber Sorts. (I was #26 on the August Goal List)

So again, very happy!

August seems to have flown by without a lot of time spent in the sewing room.  :(  Hopefully September will be a more productive sewing month.  Not sure if I will be able to link to the Finishing Party Linky as we (ok---me, DH and DD) will be going on vacation next week. And, get this, I'm debating about leaving the laptop and IPAD at home! DS will be home to man the station…so to speak, bring in the mail, etc…
