Whoop! Whoop! 8.4.2017

I have a few finishes to share today.

My leader with the Oconomowoc Quilters Guild Comfort Quilts has put out the memo, "Please bind the Jefferson Foster Kids Comfort Quilts by machine." Wow! Does this speed up the finishing of the quilts!

First up is the Green/Blue quilt.

Quilt stats:

pattern: rail fence - public domain

(3.5 inch strips that are strip pieced and submit into 6.5 inch squares)

panto: continous baptist fans

approximate size (before quilting): 55 x 72

destination: Oconomowoc Quilters Guild/ Jefferson County Foster Care Kids

Second up is the Hanging Diamonds Quilt.

Quilt Stats:

pattern: Stripe Tube Ruler by Daniela Stout

(2.5 inch strips red-tan-dark blue strip pieced and 'tubed' with powder blue. Tube cut according to size on strip tube ruler chart, found here)

panto: happy times

approximate quilt size: 58 x 76

destination: Oconomowoc Quilters Guild/ Jefferson County Foster Care Kids

Both of them are beautiful - and yes.... always by machine - If I had to do them by hand I would never finish one quilt!! ;-)

These are going to make a couple of kids very happy. :) I normally finish binding by hand, also, so it's like a party with the few that I do finish up completely by machine!

Congrats on two finishes in one week! I'm sure both quilts will be well loved!
