Here's what I did.
I put the polka dot around this set of potholders so they would all look alike.

On this batch, I did the envelope style turning as suggested by
Nancy. Unfortunately, the last one I layered wrong so the backing fabric is wrong side out! Looks like I have one for me! When I make more this week, I'll simple add another to be made.

Do you ever make something then end up liking the back more than the pieced front? I really like the retro salt and pepper shakers that are on the back of the first set of potholders. :) I would probably use them with this side up.
I think you meant to link to me in your post about the envelope turning....
ReplyDeleteIn any event, they turned out nice.
Sorry Nancy! I plugged in the correct link (I hope!)
ReplyDeleteI really like that polkadot binding! So cheery!
ReplyDeletei know what you mean about sometimes liking the back more than the front...i used that same cute polka dot as binding this weekend. great minds think alike...right!
ReplyDeletePot Holders--great idea! I want to do some "fun" sewing for Christmas, and I like the idea of it being useful too!
ReplyDeleteMaybe we aren't using up a lot of stash this way, but we ARE having fun!! Love those polka dots!
I love, love, love the pot holders.
ReplyDeleteI love your potholders! They are gorgeous!
