Today is the Quilt Parade for the 2026 Stay At Home Round Robin!
I used a few blocks from my QOV parts department that 'fit with' the prompts and created a QOV. I also elected to make the prompts into rows as a row quilt as that is 'easier' math for my brain. :)
patterns and prompts: week 7: quilter's choice: borders
week 6: two colors: sashings
week 5: curves: top row of swags
week 4: animal kingdom: 2nd row: monkey wrench
week 3: 'double': 3rd row: double arrow blocks
week 2: hourglass: 4th row: Ohio Stars
week 1: beginning: 5th row: Barn Stars
panto: serpentine

Wow, Pat, I loooove your finished quilt! Way to go!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful finish, Pat! I think the rows worked perfectly for each of the prompts. That's neat you could use blocks from your parts department, too!
ReplyDeleteI like your Row SAHRR version, it turned out beautiful. I may do a row version myself next year. I agree it is easier to figure the math part, lol!
ReplyDeleteIt turned out so well, Pat!
ReplyDeleteUsing the prompts to make rows was a great choice. Your QOV SAHRR is lovely!
ReplyDeleteI like how you did the quilting. Your quilt turned out so nice.
ReplyDeleteOf course, now we are all wondering why we didn't do something so fun as a row quilt: I predict that next year there will be many more, based on your fine example. I love how the swag row turned out -- kind of like a curtain drawn up for the Big Show of beautiful star blocks. Congratulations on a beautiful finish for SAHRR 2026!
ReplyDeleteYou were so smart to do a patriotic quilt - I LOVE the stars! The fabrics are so pretty. Nicely done.

That’s a nice quilt, and a patriotic colorway is always a winner! Doing a row quilt was a fun interpretation!
