Today is the second Saturday of August of the color orange! Time for the wonky stars! I am humbled by the lack of orange in the stash. So far I have resisted buying more yardage to make more stars. One will shine in the quilt...I hope.

Nothing like making blocks with every color in the rainbow and then some, to realize where your stash could use a boost. The positive/negative star blocks show off the orange brilliantly.
ReplyDeleteYes, it will be a feature! xx
ReplyDeleteI don't have much orange either, but I keep finding a little something that will work. Looks like you did, too! Your wonky stars are always pretty to see!
ReplyDeleteA little bit of orange goes a long way! I'm sure it will look fine and add just the right anount of zing to the quilt.
ReplyDeleteCan't go wrong with star blocks. Nice work.
ReplyDeleteI have very little range fabric just enough small pieces to do a few RSC blocks this week. Not a colour I really like, but I can remember having bright orange curtains n a previous house years ago, they looked great against the interior timber walls.
ReplyDeleteI am surprised how little orange I have as well that and purple. Yet, I like those colors. I just don't buy them much
ReplyDeleteI like what Mari said--a little orange goes a long way!!! Yes, a bit short on the orange category in my studio, too, but it's a good thing, as this is a busy time of year!
