I pieced together the inner portion of the 1/4 log cabin quilt.
I had a dilemma...do I leave it as at 54 x 72 or do I add borders? It's too large to donate to the MelonHeads and too small for the local Red Cross/Casual Quilters. I embraced all the floral and went with a pink inner and the snowflake outer (that has pink n it!) and ta-da...ready for backing, quilting and binding. It's now big enough for the local Red Cross (they wish for twin size quilts - it measures 64 x 80 before quilting).
To make the blocks, I followed this 'cheat sheet' I wrote many years ago.
Nice finish!
ReplyDeleteI like that combination of blues, grays, and the pops of pink! It's good that you were able to bring it up to the size you needed.
ReplyDeleteWow-that turned out so nicely; the borders were a good decision!
ReplyDeleteI like the chunkiness of the quarter log cabins. The pink adds a pop of interest.
ReplyDeleteGreat finish! This will make a wonderful charity quilt for someone. Thanks for sharing on my weekly show and tell, Wednesday Wait Loss. It's nine years old! Be sure to enter the giveaway everyone!
