Whoop! Whoop! 2.25.2017

Donation Quilt Update:

Quilt A
I finished this quilt which was a 2 yard cut of fabric that I checked out of the charity sewing bin. I went one of my standard donation quilt designs--the checkerboard quilt.

pattern: my own

panto design: Yodel

My guild was also planning on donating wheelchair quilts to the local nursing care center. We only had two on inventory so I knew I had two smaller star quilts--so I donated those.

WIP Wednesday

At my last guild meeting, I checked out a bag of tumblers from our charity sewing bin. A tumbler quilt has been on my bucket list and this was a great opportunity to sew one up.

I chose the fabrics that were most masculine as we always seem to run low on the more man-ly quilts. I'm not sure when I'll quit it up but here it is.  :)

53 x 79 before quilting

Whoop! Whoop! 2.10.2017

My first finish of 2017!

This is a peg type quilt featuring hockey fabric. This is a donation to the Milwaukee Area Hockey Helpers Youth Foundation. They are hosting a Casino Night in a few weeks and my friend (the organizer!) asked if I would donate a quilt.

The Hockey Helpers Youth Foundation provides hockey gear for younger skaters who otherwise would not be able to afford the hockey gear--it can get expensive fast!!

pattern: none available-I simply experimented with a picture from the web.

If this is your design-please leave a comment so I can 'give credit where credit is due'
