I decided to dig in the closet and found the pattern and a few of the parts needed to make this patriotic Boxy Stars. I dug into another closet, and found pre-cut 2.5 inch strips and I was ready to start sewing! Three times at the machine and all the smaller blocks are complete and ready to be sewn into the larger 12.5 inch blocks.pattern: Boxy Stars by Bonnie Hunter

I have made one of these blocks before though I don't think I used her pattern to do it---part of a 30's sampler.
I love this in the RWB though. Interesting how it makes that accentuated cross/T at the center. I will point it out to my mom when she gets back online as her local group has been making these as well.
