Yeah…all I got going is a *HAT TRICK* of sickness.
*17 day upper respiratory infection with a very annoying cough
*10 day flu and
*fluid behind the left ear drum.
Me and my germs are down for the count...

Hands2Help 2015
It's time to sign up! - open Sunday, March 15th - Saturday, March 21st.
Please visit Sarah at Confessions of a Fabric Addict for all the details.
Visit the three different charities for the year.
Last year, I won two charm packs! My plan is to make quilts using the charm packs to donate. I'm not sure which charity I will donate to but I can decide that later. :)
I've signed up---will you?!

Whoop! Whoop! 3.13.2015
My Whoop! Whoop! is sewing related…
DD has been accepted onto our Church Mission Team for 2015! This group will be traveling to Swaziland, South Africa as part of the Children's Cup Mission Team. She is one of three minors selected on the team of 18. Wowza, right?!
Last time a Mission Team went to Swaziland, they asked for beanie babies to distribute to the children. This time, the team has asked for pillowcases dresses (girls) and pillowcase shorts (boys). A small group of ladies got together earlier in the week to *figure out* the best way to make the dresses.
Of course, I had to come home and right to the sewing room.
Here is my result. I had brought some pillowcases at the big box stores to experiment with and on Wednesday, I went to St. Vincent de Paul and a Goodwill to try and find gently used pillowcases.
:)
I just love a good challenge!
There are many tutorials for the pillowcases dresses on the web. This one from the Little Dresses for Africa website and this one from Nancy's Notions. There are a few modifications to the directions for this finished dress but I usually modify quilt patterns, too!
Wonder how many dresses I will be able to make between now and when the Team departs at the end of July???

WIP Wednesday 3.4.2015
Another QOV was dropped off last week and I quilted it earlier this week.
This is a rail fence with alternating plain and printed blocks. I really like how *the girls* put this one together. It makes me want to take all the fabric in my stash and cut it into 2.5 inch strips!
Wouldn't THAT be fun!
pattern info: 6.5 inch rail fence blocks unfinished, 6.5 inch blue/red plain and printed blocks unfinished.
panto info: Stars and Crescents, found here.
