Today is the one year anniversary of Bell Creek Quilts!
Did you also know that today is National Pie Day? I didn't know either until I visited Patched Works where they are celebrating by giving away pie and a pattern for a yummy pie pincushion.
At the store, they also had kits available for the pie pincushion and the little tins to put the pie in once it is done. Too cute!
So for Bell Creek Quilts 1st Birthday, I am going to give away...this cute pie pincushion kit and plate!
I'm also going to delve into my box of 6 1/2 inch novelty squares and give a 'heap' of them away, too.
Let's see, to be entered...please leave a comment on this post and tell me what kind of pie is your favorite...apple, cherry, lemon meringue, pecan...ummm...I don't think I've meet a pie I didn't like. :) Also tell me if you would like the pie pincushion kit or the 'heap' of novelty squares. What I think I will do is print off your names, put them in a cigar box and have DD draw. Unless there are a bazillion names and then I will figure out the random number generator thingie. The first name will receive whatever their preference is. For example, Ms. A's name is drawn first and she would like the novelty squares. Mr. Z's name is drawn next then he would get the pincushion kit. If you really don't want one or the other, then put that in your comments, too because I would hate to send you something that you don't want or like. Let's give plenty of time for bloggers to enter so, the comments will be open until next Friday January 30, 2009. At 3:00pm (central time zone USA) I will close the comments and we will choose the bloggers to receive the goodies. Please make sure that I have a way contact you, if you are the lucky commenter!
Thanks to everyone for a Wonderful First Year of Blogging! :)

Happy Birthday! My favorite pie is a toss up...either my mom's pecan pie or my daughter's White Chocolate Hazelnut Pie. How do I choose???
I would love your novelty squares, I've been wanting to make a quilt for my niece.
I love peach cobbler...does that qualify as a pie? If not then Lemon Meringue, which I happen to have in the fridge right now....
I would like the novelty squares to make a charity quilt for the Shriners Hospital...
You mean I have to pick just one? Ohhh, hard choice but I'm going to say Peanut Butter pie, either my own no bake fluffernutter version or Ms. Esther's with custard type filling with meringue. I loves me some peanut butter, LOL.
The pincushion should you pull my name but those novelty squares look pretty interesting as well.
You are sweet to offer this giveaway especially since you should be getting blogiversary greetings in some manner from US. Good to have you along for the ride, Pat!
Hmm. My favorite pie is Apple Pie...served warm with whip cream and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. :)
Congratulations on your 1 year blogging birthday! :) It has been a very enjoyable experience blogging for me as well, and a way to see quilts and meet people I never would have had the chance to in my "regular" life. Hope to see you blogging for years to come! :)
I would be happy with winning! Lol* I don't mind what, both the pincushion kit and the novelty squares would be equally wonderful gifts to receive. :)
How the heck do I pick a a favorite?
Pecan, chocolate cream, cherry crumb, banana, lemon meringue, coconut, I love them all.
I have a sweet tooth that doesn't quit.
I would love the pincushion kit and or the squares, both would find a happy home with me.
Thanks for the chance.

Any pie would be o.k. with me but coconut made by my friend, Barbara, in TN is the best! I love it and a good coconut pie is hard to find.
Happy Blog birthday! I've enjoyed reading your blog and keeping up with what you're working on.
Either gift would be fine with me - so pick me, please!
Happy Birthday/Anniversary! I hope the year has been all you wanted it to be! Cheers to many more!
My favorite all time pie is banana cream pie with a graham cracker crust! Yum Yum Yum!
I would prefer to recieve the novelty squares. I am glad you gave the option as I am fumble fingers when it comes to putting together a craft! LOL
Congratulations!
Linda
Good luck everyone!
Happy First Birthday for blogging Pat! I love the idea of a pie pin cushion, so please put my name into that pot. Favorite pie....hmmm....that is difficult to pick just one. I think lemon would be right up there though!
How could I have missed National Pie Day? VBG I love blueberry, raspberry and pumpkin pies the best. I would be happy with either giveaway. Congratulations on your 1st Blog Birthday.
Drats! It should be National Pie WEEKEND so I can celebrate!
Favorite? Oh, gosh, there are so many: peanut butter pie, lemon meringue, banana cream, cranberry pie, pecan pie, coconut cream pie, mincemeat pie, cheesecake, (well, it looks like a pie!)... the list goes on and on.
I think I'd like to try the pincushion pie!
Happy blogiversary!
Happy 1st Birthday!!! Since I'm not really a fruit fan, my favorite pie is French Silk...yum!
Happy anniversary! Pie is my favorite and of course like others have stated there are very few that I do not like but I guess my favorite is cherry with ice cream on top. I would love to win either gift but if by luck I am the first please send the novelty fabrics so I can make some more baby quilts.
Both are great give-aways - although I don't have much in the way of novelties and those look quite interesting. Great blog - thanks for being so generous.
Happy birthday Pat. French Silk - Chocolate all the way. Love the pin cushion
Happy Blogiversary, Pat! Fruit pie of any type is really popular in our family, my favorite is cherry with a lattice crust, of course. Have a fun give-away.
Happy First Birthday!!!! What a great give-away idea! I love apple pie!!!! Chocolate is not too bad either :) Enjoy your celebration! Love the pie pin cushion idea.
favorite pie? Wow--I think it would be black bottom rum! And I love novelty squares.
Happy First Birthday! My favorite pie is lemon meringue. I would be honored to win either prize.
Happy first birthday, Pat!! It doesn't matter who enters as Jeanne always seems to win! I think the novelty squares would be sweet!! My favorite pie is any I don't have to make! Probably pumpkin or cherry.
Pat,
I'm so sorry I wasn't around on Friday to wish you a Happy Birthday - but in your honor I spent the whole day sewing at Paula's Lake House!
Congratulations! You have such a wonderful Blog. I can't honestly say it has been the best inspiration for my Blog (which anybody could tell by seeing all of the things I have "stolen" from you.)
We all miss you so much here in Texas but it is great that we can still be so "close"!
Maureen
Congratulations on your blog anniversary.
I like pecan pie the best. But then I found out that there are 800 calories in a single slice. Ouch.
If I win i would like the fabric please.
Thanks you for being so generous. I hope you are having a great day.
Happy Blogiversary! I just missed my 500th post so I am going to have to make a point of doing something with my next big post.
I would love the squares!
