In September 2009, The Ben Franklin Quilt Club started a Mystery Quilt (Scrappy Railroad Crossing) designed by Pam of Vanilla Latte Quilts. The final step was available in December 2009 and we were suppose to bring our flimsy or completed quilt to the meeting in January 2010. I am just a little behind.
The first step was to make a whole heap of hst's and trim 'em up.
The next step was to sew three blocks together to make a strip then assemble three strips together to form a 9 patch. I'm skipping this step and diving right into the 9 patch construction.
Ta-da!
One 9 patch complete.
Only 23 to go.
ahem...no way will this be to the flimsy state by Wednesday morning's meeting!
Lesson learned: Try to keep up next time, please! :)
or at least don't whine about being behind! :)

You've been coming up with some real winners lately! I love this block too! I'm working on some Double Hourglass blocks in between other projects. Your notes were hugely helpful, thanks!
Oh this is a very striking block in the colors you have chosen---or did YOU get to chose the colorways?
It will be interesting to see how many you do get done in time for the meeting. No doubt someone else in the group didn't get near as far as you have.
