I've been sewing on my current projects but haven't been blogging about it!
I finished the hand work on Simply Strippy~pattern by Bonnie Hunter.
It still needs a label, photojournal and pillowcase but the quilt is finished!
And because I mis-calculated on the backing~I used a few of the leftover strips from the front to increase the back.
I also finished sewing all the blocks on my 2 color Bento Box~pattern by Tracey Brookshire. I decided that I did indeed like the traditional set in this colorway.
Hopefully I will be able to find a backing in the closet that I like...but that will wait until another day. :)

I like the use of the front leftovers on the backing---and it looks like you planned it that way, Pat.
Woohoo, the bento box top is done! I am ready to do the sub-cuts on my redwork project and I know Norma is at the machine working on hers. Cher is prepping fabric so she is joining in the fun.
Both look great. Way to improvise on the backing! If you wouldn't have said anything, I would have thought it was planned to look like that too.
Pat, Both of your quilt tops look great! I love your backing for your Strippy quilt. It adds interest to the back. Take care!
