I really wanted to set it in the off center barn raising, but when I started to sew it together - well, the seams were definitely NOT matching up! bummer, right?!

That looks great. I prefer the diamond lay out, really lets the colours sing together. Beautiful.
Wow! That really popped out when you switched it to the hanging diamonds configuration, didn't it? Both of these are really nice and sure to bring smiles.

I saw your link on Amanda's site - I'm from Wisconsin too! I really like the Simplicity quilt - those colors are beautiful. And the Hanging Diamonds really came together when you switched up the layout. Wow, it looks great. ~smile~ Roseanne
