WIP Wednesday 5.14.2025

It's been a 'slow go' here at Bell Creek Quilts...

The Irish Chain center is sewn together.

I free cut the tree branch and discovered today that I should have put the fusible on it first to stabilize it. Oh well, the next part is to add some fusible around the edge then raggy edge stitch it down. After that, it will be time for the owl, raggy edge the owl and borders.

pattern: single Irish Chain and Whoo LOOOVES you?

I also quilted down the framing rails quilt. I used the large popcorn pantograpgh. A friend had given me a spool of 40 wt Omni and that is quite a bit thinner than the 40 wt Permacore, so DD is taking the curves with much better tension!

Sharing today with the Inquiring Quilter Weight Loss Wednesday.

Great progress on Whoo Loves You, Pat! And it's fun to see where you quilt, too. Looks like your next rails quilt will be done in no time!

I love the colors in the Irish Chain background of Whooo Loves You. This is going to be a fun one to watch grow. What is raggedy edge? Is it where you do not turn under the applique'? If so, what time of stitch do you use? I have a Baltimore Halloween quilt that I think this would work for...
