I added the sashings and borders to my red, white and blue Chinese Coins quilt. I picked a lighter gray for the sashings and darker gray paisley for the border.
I started sewing a few place mats for the motorhome. Here is my fabric draw.
I decided to make flying geese to accent the camping fabric. The yellow is one of the place mats that came with the motorhome.
I played a round of 'binding chicken' and lost. :(
I also played 'bobbin chicken' and won!
On this happy note, 'May you always win 'Chicken Sewing'!

Ha! I lost the chicken binding race the other day. Not fun. Love your Chinese Coins! So pretty as are the new placemats. That camper fabric is perfect. Thanks for sharing on my weekly show and tell, Wednesday Wait Loss.

I like your r, w, and b coins with the gray sashing and border! That's a great combination. Those will be cute placemats, too - perfect for the camper! I bet we all play binding and bobbin chicken on a regular basis, with varying results. I kept checking my bobbin yesterday when finishing the borders on Blueberry Taffy - could I get one more seam out of it? I ended up filling up a new one for the last border seam, just in case!
I've been close in playing binding chicken, but I often make far too much binding, and then have leftovers.
