Design Wall Wednesday

I finished as many Strip Twist blocks as I wanted. Well, actually I have more as I kept changing my mind about the lay-out. Really! I think I am going to *go with* this quasi-barn raising setting. Although the bright green ring of blocks was rejected because they were *too bright* at one point. Now, I kinda like the definition they give to that ring. The center squares are a Christmas poinsettia fabric, the strip is muslin and the balance of the block is either greens or reds pulled from the stash. I'm thinking about a 1 inch muslin inner border then a wider Christmas-y green and red border to make it a bit bigger as my family likes the longer quilts to snuggle in! :)

I better get on the stick with assembling mine! Norma and Cher were virtual ties. Pam's top is done and either at the quilters or quilted and ready for binding. You have all your blocks done---and I love that bright bit in the center!

Mine are still setting in that bag in rows waiting and it is on my mental goal list for this week. Next week it is back to machine quilting since I have one to do for pay and 4 donation quilts to move along.

I love Christmas quilts--this one really pops! I understand the "big enough to cuddle under" factor! Most the quilts here are at least long twins if not full size for couch quilts. I hate laying down and then either your toes hang out or your shoulders are cold! Hey--it gets COLD out here in the midwest!

I like it. You just keep quietly chugging along! I did get this pattern. We'll see how long it takes before I use it.

We're getting flurries here, but nothing substantial.

What a beautiful Christmas quilt - I had to look 2X, but yes, I see the barn raising setting - very clever of you! Cheers! Evelyn
