Here is the quilt top that is a combined effort from the crumb blocks made in January/February 2020 by the Oconomowoc Quilt Guild members.
pattern:
1. crumb or mile-a-minute blocks
2. setting inspired by the quilt-found here
I wish I would have taken true white fabric and not fabric that was a combination of gray/black and white!
But it is what it is
Next time, I'll make the adjustment...

Whoop! Whoop! 2.21.2020
I missed my WIP Wednesday this week, so I'll just join the posts, ok?
GOOD.
Here is the wolf quilt with the border added. I really like the off center layout.
Here it is all quilted and bound.
pattern info: inspired from a FB post
panto info: fern gully
Close-up of the wolves. Just because...
I continued to put together the Single Irish Chain.
Here is the lower half. It is too big to fit on the design wall!
LOL
I didn't have enough background so it ended up at about 80 x 90. It should work for DD's full bed. I can also have it longer on one side as her bed is in the corner of her room.
See?
I think it looks right with the beige walls and wood tones in her room. I also want to buy new lighter sheets...
pattern info:
single Irish chain, public domain

Design Wall Monday 2.17.2020
Does it count if it was last Monday?!
Last Monday's Design Wall.
I started a quilt for DH's uncle. He did serve in Vietnam and was diagnosed with cancer in December. While I am creating a RWB quilt for him, it will not be 'a Quilt of Valor'. I just don't have the time or the ability to award it in person. I also didn't renew my QOV membership so I would need to locate someone to award. It just seems faster and more personal if I gift myself...
pattern: inspiration found on one of my FB groups. I'm not sure which one...I forgot to write it down. Duh!
I want to send a shout out to Alycia at Alycia Quilts as she shared a method to make the hourglass blocks in the Ohio Star that I finally 'get it'. I always struggled with that unit but now! easy peasy. I just need to work on my seam matching technique...lol. Thanks Alycia! (her technique can be found in her Military Mystery for the February 1, 2020 sew day)
Today's Design Wall.
We recently had the house painted Natural Linen and Kilim Beige. Guess what? I have the urge to make Brown and Beige quilts for the beds on the main floor, much to DH's dismay. What can I say? Change the color palette, change the quilt. He always wanted me to make 'calmer' quilts but my timing is really bad...
pattern info: single Irish Chain - public domain
While we were out and about shopping to update the house, I found this cute lamp. Unfortunately, it stayed at the store. It just was not fitting into 'neutralize the house to sell it mentality'. Oh well. I still liked it.

Whoop! Whoop! 2.14.2020
Yea!
A Finish!
I quilted down Aunt C's quilt. It was a little bit of a challenge as my MIL requested flannel as the backing and it was MY.FIRST.TIME.EVER using flannel as backing on the long arm.
Pretty crazy, eh? and I've been at it for about 11 or 12 years now...
pattern info:
blocks: crumb, mile-a-minute, slab...it has many different names. if you google one of the names you will find quite a few tutorials on the web.
setting: based on MSCQ Falling charms but sashing adjusted to 6.5 inch unfinished blocks
panto: grande scribbles
That's me behind the quilt! MIL requested a picture of me with the quilt to send to Aunt C.
So it either the one above or my attempt at a selfie...LOL
I've been to selfie school with DD and another youngin' (ok...he's 15 and he needs rides to his various after school activities and his Dad/Mom work and I don't...well...you get it right? helping a neighbor and all), anyway, looks like I need a refresher course...
I actually quilted it down on Monday night when my photographer was out of town on business. Guess that was poor planning on my part. LOL

What I'm Working On...2.10.2020
LOOK!
I'm quilting again! It's been a hot minute. I thought I might encounter problems as I was using flannel as the backing...first time, ever! But it all seemed to work out fine. *smile*

Whoop! Whoop! 2.7.2020
Another seed packet of fabric and another quilt top completed.
Here is the fabric.
Oh no! I'm just not liking the way I made the flying geese units! I rarely make flying geese and now, I remember why...I always get the 'goose' and 'sky' mixed up.
Can it be that I am a closet dyslexic?
Oh yes! These geese units are much more to my liking. *smile*
I'm not real crazy about the outer border but it will do for a charity quilt.
Perhaps, one more for the Ben Franklin Quilt-a-thon?

WIP Wednesday 2.5.2020
The sewing continues out of the fabric packets from the Oconomowoc Quilt Guild.
Here are the samplings.
Here is Quilt A.
Here is Quilt B.
I did add some of my own 2.5 inch novelty strips to round out the projects. I'm always amazed at how far fabric will go when making throw size quilts.

Design Wall Monday 2.3.2020
Sewing continues out of the packets from the Oconomowoc Quilt Guild...
The seed packet...a fellow member made a whole slew of yellow 4 patches.
I sewed them into this quilt. The inner/outer border is from my stash, it's not the greatest match but the best I could do. I just don't have very much yardage of calicos or floral. LOL
