SoScrappy Saturday 4.5.2025

Today is the first Saturday of April of the color red! I originally thought the color was teal (like a few others) but then switched to red after Angela's post on April 1st...no fooling. :)

Here are my Happy Blocks for April. They really are a quick sew so now I am just ahead of the curve for the teal month. :) I noticed that I have more dog fabric than cat...I'll need to keep my eyes out for cats.

Finish or NOT Friday 4.2.2025

Today I have one 'Finish' and one 'NOT'.

My 'Finish' is the second 'Thick Sticks' with the Folk Art panel. This one is going to be part of my September 2025 trunk show.

My 'NOT' is my Tiger quilt. Today is Opening Day at Comerica Park so I 'low keyed' missed my mark. :( There was just 'something' I didn't like about my fabric choices. So I switched out the fabrics and added a few borders. I like it much better. Much to my chagrin, I was two blocks short of Detroit Tigers fabric. I decided to embrace the shortage and use baseball fabric right in the center of my quilt. :) Now to piece a backing for it, quilt and bind... This also uses 3.5 inch strips so it will be a part of the trunk show.

WIP Wednesday 4.2.2025

 My Folk Art Thick Sticks is a flimsy! This pattern really goes together quick. :)

I decided to move onto my next project, one for me. I un-earthed my Detroit Tigers and a few go-with's. Here is what I found and a picture of a quilt that uses 3.5 inch strips.

This is what my pick looks like. Hmmm...I'm out of Tiger fabric and you guessed it...JoAnn's last year.

<sigh>

I re-arrranged the rail blocks. I saw it on Pinterest but neglected to save the picture. :(

EDIT: I found it! Pinterest picture!

Now, I'll need to decide which way to assemble this little quilt.
