Today is the first Saturday of June. The theme this month is 'pastels' or 'catch up'. Today, for me, is about 'catch up'. I wasn't very orange productive so I have a few orange projects hanging around the sewing room.
The first project I worked on was my orange based Meals-on-Wheels placemats. I used a few of the Detroit Tigers themed fabric for the corners of the 1/4 Log Cabin blocks. I'm liking 'how' this set of placemats turned out and perfect for the summertime table.
Here are my placemats ready to sew. The backing is a hand dyed experiment gone wrong. <grin>
Here are my finished placemats.
6.5 inch cut novelty, 3.5 inch cut strips then cut to length
quilting: quilt as you go.

Love the placemats! That is a very clever design.
Awesome placemats, Pat! I thing we all have some catch-up to do this month.
That's a great design for the placemats! Looks to me like you had the perfect coordinating scraps to go with the Tigers' logo, too.
Nice and orangey bright!
Perfect placemats & a great catch-up orange project.
Great job on the placemats!!!
Way to go on the placemats! That is a great pattern and showcases your Tigers wonderfully! Thanks for the cutting directions you used.
