All Wrapped Up In One 2.22.2025

I am surprised that I am still 'down for the count' after my gall bladder removal surgery. I keep trying to remember that everyone heals at their own pace. That being said, I did accomplish a few items off my list.

Finish or NOT Friday:

My goal was to sew the 4 labels onto the waiting QOV's. Easy peasy, right? This one's been waiting for three weeks...but now! It's done. Next step will be inking the labels.

SoScrappy Saturday:

Today is the fourth Friday of February of the color blue. I also decided to make a few Meals On Wheels place mats. Joy's Table Scraps prompt for February 20025 is neon or bright. I went for bright. The ladies at charity sew really liked this group. Nice and bright for a dreary February! I was hoping Angela would let us know the March 2025 color but...

Stay At Home Round Robin:

Brenda at Songbird Quilts is our hostess for Round 5. Her block of choice is the quarter log cabin. Good thing for me, Brenda included a colored diagram to follow. I did manage to sew 6. I'm actually kind liking this block look.

Here they are with the rest of 'my hot mess'.

Note to self: don't have major surgery in the middle of a quilt design sew-a-long.

Oh dear you've had your gall bladder out, that's obviously a big operation. Do hope you are recovering well, and remember, dont push yourself too much, you need to rest up.

It can be hard to be a patient patient! But try! The work you've done is super!

You've gotten a lot done this week, considering you're still not feeling tip top, Pat! The placemats are wonderful - so fun and bright. I think your SAHRR is coming along great! Hope you feel a little bit better each day. 🩷

What?!?! I'm glad that I took the whole week after my upcoming surgery off work. So sorry that you are having a tough recovery, Pat! At least you were able to get a bit of sewing done.

You sure are productive for someone who's not feeling great! Love those place mats, and the recipients will, too. Hope you feel lots better in the coming week! Hugs.

In spite of not feeling great, you have accomplished a lot. Your SAHRR is coming along nicely, love the colors. Bright and cheerful placemats too. Speedy recovery!

Your "hot mess" is going to be wonderful! It is hard to take time to heal, but that's your main "work" right now!!

Yes, heal at your own pace! It's a great time to pull out hand work projects and work on designing new projects. It's also a good time to tackle making up those lists of UFOs and WIPs we always say we are going to do but never have the time for when we are actually sewing! Your SAHRR development looks great --- remember designing is messy before it turns into something memorable. And you're waaay ahead of those of us who never started, LOL!!

Pat, take good care of yourself. As a retired nurse, I can tell you, everyone does heal at their own pace. I'm glad you were able to do some of the things you loved this week. I love your RWB SAHRR and look forward to your finish. Thanks for joining us this year!
