Stay-At-Home-Round-Robin Prompt 4

Today was the first day since my gall bladder removal surgery that I felt like going into the sewing room. My recovery is a bit slower than I had hoped for but I am trying to listen to my body and not over due.

That being said, I headed to sew the SAHRR Prompt 4. Wendy at Pieceful Thoughts is our host for Prompt 4. Her choice of the block is 'sliced square'. Simply put, 'slice a block, insert something and trim it to size'. A little birdie (Thank you quilting Gail!) hinted that this prompt would work with Week 3 Prompt of stars.
So I made a few sliced squares today and added them to the stars border. I'm waiting till I feel better and when Prompt 5 is released to add onto the quilt top.

pattern:         center:                    2025 Stash Buster Challenge block
first prompt:           P = Pat = Pathway to Pinwheels
second prompt:      use half square triangles...
I took liberties and used Bonnie Hunter's
                                                        Scrappy Mountain Majesties pattern
                    third prompt:          any star block
                    fourth prompt:        sliced square block

Sharing today with Wendy at Pieceful Thoughts.

I'm so glad you are feeling good enough to sew a little bit. You are right to listen to your body and not overdo. Your sliced blocks look great in your quilt!

I hope you're feeling better each day, Pat! Recovering from surgery can be slow, but hopefully the outcome takes care of the problem you had before. Glad you felt like sewing this week - you're making good progress!

Very neat arrangement on your SAHRR, Pat! Praying you continue to recover. Remember that healing doesn't happen overnight.
