SoScrappy Saturday 3.29.2025

Today is the fifth Saturday of March of the color yellow. Today is also the day to reveal March's Table Scrap challenge. March's prompt is Song Lyric or Poem.

Ummm...the color yellow, a song lyric and earlier in the month, I had dresden plates on my mind. Here is what I made...for my Meals on Wheels place mats.

color:             yellow ✅
song lyric:     'Here comes the sun...' by Nina Simone ✅

Funny story: I 'see' sunrises on the horizon. The guild member that collects the place mats - sees 'the NBC peacock'. Oh well, art is in the interpretation. :)

I found this on the web with some random peeps. It is actually close to Bell Creek Quilts. When I passed the mural, it had cars parked in front of it. :)

Sharing today with SoScrappy Saturday and

Joy at Table Scraps.

Song title, yellow Dresden plate block looking like a sunrise, how can it be anything but Here Comes the Sun. What a treat for your Meals on Wheels customers.

Great interpretation of the theme song. I'd figured they were suns but couldn't name the song. I love it. Very well done. Enjoy! ;^)

Definitely looks like sunrise placemats to me and a perfect song pairing, Pat! Nicely done!

I'm with the majority -- I see sunshine on your placemats. I love yellow & gray together so these look sweet to me. Good job!
