I'll take the NOT in the Finish or NOT Friday. This feels more like a Design Wall Monday...
On Wednesday, Marilyn asked for volunteers to sew up samples for the Creative Grids Strippy Ruler, found here. I had shared that I learned this particular block construction using a template and not the ruler (thanks to the Oconomowoc Helping Hands Quilt Bee in 2017). In any event, Marilyn asked me to make a sample and well, I wasn't very nice about it. Imagine that! Now I am feeling guilty so I dug out the template and directions and pulled some fabrics for a Christmas quilt.
I've used all my white so it's currently in the dryer. (yes, I am a washer...don't judge me! LOL) Here is my progress for far today. I've already changed out the winter gnomes for snowmen in the border and am leaning towards the lighter blue for sashing.
This is my inspiration quilt that I made in 2017 using Bev's method for the stars. I started referring to this star as 'Bev's Star'.

Just looking at that ruler, I can't figure out how it makes those stars, lol! Obviously I've never used one. But your stars look wonderful - the ruler must be good! How did your presentation at the quilt show go?
Nice work! I just finished a quilted Christmas stocking, the first time I've quilted anything in ages.
I like the new star quilt--very lt blue border will frame it nicely!
Hunh - I have never used that ruler - but I have used the tri rec to make those blocks - is it similar? I like your inspiration - and where you are going with the Christmas colors
I haven't seen or used that ruler either! I like your stars and that they are Christmas colors!
