Design Wall Monday 6.23.2025

I kept moving my eagle yardage around the sewing room so, I decided it was time to use some it! I'm pairing it with browns at of course, 3.5 inch cut strips. I think I'm nearing the halfway point in creating the quilts for September's trunk show.

I made the brown strata and cut the eagles. I then started rotating the brown strata.

Here it is with lights on top with horizontal orientation.

Next is lights to the left with a vertical orientation.

Finally, here is the lights and darks flipped in vertical orientation. This is the one I chose.

Here it is all sewn into a flimsy,

pattern: found on Pinterest: no name - no link
what I did: eagles cut at 9.5 inch square
browns cut at 3.5 inch strips, sewn along the long edge
(beige, med brown, dark brown) then sub-cut into 9.5 inch squares.

Sharing today with Judy at Design Wall Monday.

I like that layout you chose, too. It reminds me of trees in the forest, where the eagles hang out! Have you been watching the Big Bear Bald Eagle nest cam on YouTube? You get lots of views of the parents and two young ones in the trees!
