Design Wall Monday 6.30.2025

I've pieced all my flying geese pinwheels for the October 2025 trunk show quilt.

Ooops! I don't like the two lightest ones so into the orphan box they went and I replace them with darker pinwheels. Ahhh...much better!

pattern inspiration: Swiss Cretaceous pattern but I'm replacing the 9 patches
                                        with flying geese windmills.

I also cut the pink background for my purple plus quilt. This is my initial challenge (PP) due in September 2025. I've gotten a good head start on a few of my fall deadlines.

pattern: many found on Pinterest

So you will have "Cretaceous Windmills" instead! That's going to be a fun quilt. Good idea to swap out those light pinwheels!

The replacement pinwheels look better! I like the way you integrated the plus blocks!

The pinwheel quilt is lovely, and switching out the lighter ones did make it better. The pink background with the purple is a fun combination.

Cute blue quilt coming along. So, the dinosaur looks like a T Rex to me. Do you know that somewhere in Washington state they have T Rex races? Yes weird. If you've seen some of the T Rex costumes that came out a few years ago -- imagine a line of 10 or so of them on a track. And they are off... It was on TV the other evening and it was so funny to watch the people trying to run in those things. The news anchors were having a hard time not laughing out loud. It was a bright moment for sure! You've got a nice selection of purples working for you.
