The eagles took a turn on the long arm. I dusted of an oldie but goody pantograph: Fern Gully. next up for this one is the binding.
The program committee at the MelonHeads is doing a 'Pinwheel Party' on October 8, 2025. I was assigned to make a quilt with flying geese pinwheels. A few weeks agao, I was gifted two over sized dinosaur blocks. So I'm going to use grey as the background and various blues as the pinwheels.
Here is my inspiration piece. In place of the 9 patches will be the flying geese pinwheels.
I got this far before I ran out of my background. It was 2 yards! The first store didn't have it, so I'm off to another. :) When I find the background, I think I want to add in darker blues.
Since I have one more design wall and another quick project, I got out my purple charm squares. Well, I just cut a bunch of 5 inch squares. This is the Casual Quilter's Initial Challenge. I'm a PP so Purple or Pink color and a P block. I'm choosing the Plus quilt in Purples with pink background (not shown).
Sharing today with the Inquiring Quilter's Weight Loss Wednesday.

I love all those blues! Are you making the dinosaur quilt in the style of the plus quilt pattern, but with the pinwheels instead? That's a fun idea! And the purple plus quilt is going to be so pretty, too. I like that challenge idea!
