I pieced together the inner portion of the 1/4 log cabin quilt.
I had a dilemma...do I leave it as at 54 x 72 or do I add borders? It's too large to donate to the MelonHeads and too small for the local Red Cross/Casual Quilters. I embraced all the floral and went with a pink inner and the snowflake outer (that has pink n it!) and ta-da...ready for backing, quilting and binding. It's now big enough for the local Red Cross (they wish for twin size quilts - it measures 64 x 80 before quilting).
To make the blocks, I followed this 'cheat sheet' I wrote many years ago.

Nice finish!
I like that combination of blues, grays, and the pops of pink! It's good that you were able to bring it up to the size you needed.
Wow-that turned out so nicely; the borders were a good decision!
I like the chunkiness of the quarter log cabins. The pink adds a pop of interest.
Great finish! This will make a wonderful charity quilt for someone. Thanks for sharing on my weekly show and tell, Wednesday Wait Loss. It's nine years old! Be sure to enter the giveaway everyone!
