The new baby arrived Friday before Halloween (my niece's second son) so time to quilt down the baby quilt. I usually wait until after the baby is born because I like to piece the baby's initials and include them on the back. I also wanted to send along a couple of books for the older brother, I went to a couple of stores but they didn't have the books I wanted on the shelf. I sure do miss going to a brick and mortar store to make a purchase. In any event, I ordered the books online and they should be here sometime this week.
Here are the initial letters I made. I used Tonya's Alphabet that was a free download in 2006 from Bonnie of Quiltville fame. Google 'Word Play Quilts by Tonya Ricucci' to see her book. It was published in 2010 and might be available as a e-book download...I did make some modifications on the letters to make them more block style.
