Today I am traveling back to Bell Creek Quilts. I'm in my car and it looks like a rainy travel day. But...we had beautiful weather here in Milwaukee!
DD's birthday wish was a day in Chicago! So on Monday, we rode the train to Chicago and spent the day sightseeing. We first went to the Shedd Aquarium. She especially likes the Deep Ocean displays. Whales, sharks and dolphins. I like the Icy Cold display...penguins! We also both enjoy the jelly fish. We also walked through the Great Lakes display. Her BF is a fisherman so she was checking out the fish he fishes!
In my time away from DD, I worked on sorting and cutting my green scrap bin. I did stay up a little late last night and finished this chore. I am now ready to make my very own green Duckworth quilt but that will be a few weeks from now. 😍
Here is BooBoo with the empty bin. Yea! I did pile my organized scraps back into it so the bin was only empty for about 5 minutes!
Here is my pile of organized and pressed green scraps. Yea! I separated the scraps into pieces smaller than 2.0 inches, pieces that are 2.0 inches, 2.5 inches and greater than 3 inches. I also have a pile of bigger chucks that could be backing...if I was feeling creative. In the front are wacky pieced crumbs that I had left in my bin. All the way on the right, is my pile of cut-off and pieces less than 1.0 inch.
