SoScrappy Saturday 3.30.2024

Today is the fifth Saturday of March of the color purple. The last Saturday is the day to showcase the Table Scraps projects. The Table Scraps March prompt is birds.

So I made a flock of purple birds. I realized later that this is the icon from the app formally known as 'Twitter'.

I only had enough of the gray background for two 'Meals on Wheels' placemats. I was going to make more but somehow, the month got away from me without more placemats being made. Imagine, that?!

pattern: raggy edge applique the birds
quilting: random lines on Baby Brother

You were a busy quilter all month! Those birds are so fun, and perfect for the placemats. They will be loved!

Hi Pat, what a perfect project and it fits both the challenges so well. Of course, I love the birds very much. I need to sew placements too. Happy Stitching!

Such adorable birds. They are bound to bring a smile to the Meals on Wheels recipient who is lucky enough to have their meal served on one of your placemats.

Love your little birds, and the quilting looks like the breeze/wind when they are flying.

Love the picture at the top of the blog. Jumping through the puddles and you really nailed the RSC yellow. Your purple birds are sweet. Two placemats is better than none. Turned out cute.
